About, mission and scope

Why The UK Kink Guide exists, who it serves and the boundaries of its work.

Education is the primary purpose

The UK Kink Guide provides inclusive, evidence-based education for adults about sex, sexuality, kink, relationships, consent, wellbeing, clinical distinctions, safety and relevant UK legal context.

We use non-graphic language, distinguish facts from interpretation and avoid treating difference as disorder. The site is not a substitute for individual medical, legal or emergency advice.

Education without selling

The site does not sell products, host advertising, publish affiliate links or operate a retailer directory.

Materials, equipment and consumer-safety topics are covered only to support informed, safer decisions—not to encourage a purchase or endorse a seller.

Who the site is for

The site is written for UK adults aged 18 and over, including people of different bodies, disabilities, neurotypes, cultures, genders, orientations, relationship structures and levels of experience.

It does not host explicit content, accept public uploads or provide spaces for arranging contact.
